Our Payment Policy: Your Role in Coverage and Claims

All charges you incur are your responsibility regardless of your dental coverage. As your dental care provider, our relationship is with you, not your dental benefit company. Your dental insurance policy is a contract between you, your employer and your dental insurance company.

Our practice is committed to providing the best treatment for our patients. We charge what is usual and customary for our area. You are responsible for payment regardless of a dental insurance company’s arbitrary determination of usual and customary rates. Please understand dental insurance companies often have multiple fee schedules based on the employer/company contract.

Payment if Claim is Denied or Delayed

Dental benefit payments are typically received within 7-60 days from the time of filing. If your insurance company has not made payment within 60 days, we will ask you to contact them to make sure your payment is expected. If payment is not received or your claim is denied, you will be responsible for paying the full payment at the time.

We will fully comply with your dental insurance company’s requirements and requests to assist you in paying your claim. Our office will file appeals if necessary. However, we will not enter into a long dispute with your insurance company over any claim.

Deductibles and Co-Payments Are Due at Service

We ask you to pay the deductible and co-payment, which is the estimated amount not covered by your dental benefits company, by cash, check, MasterCard, Visa or Discover at the time of your appointment.
